First time home buyer program and guide
Our goal is that our construction knowledge, guidance and feedback combined with your participation will not only reduce future inconveniences and unnecessary costs but will also help to make your dream of building a new home become a reality in the best way possible.
HOMEBUYER FRIENDLY is a unique two-tier program that specializes in educating new home owners in order to ensure that they are better equipped to understand what they are buying and therefore be in a better position to demand the quality of construction that they are entitled to. The first level of our HOMEBUYER FRIENDLY program provides you with a step by step guide to self-inspection of your new home or addition. Our inspection manual is in the form of an e-book that is easy to read and understand as well as containing photo's, detailed diagrams and a critical path to help you follow production. We will walk you through the home building process, providing you with critical information and important questions to ask your builder or contractor.
The second level of the HOMEBUYER FRIENDLY program provides free advice and troubleshooting to members. We will remain available to you not only during the construction phase of your new home but long after construction is complete. After purchasing the HOMEBUYER FRIENDLY program , your name will be stored in our directory and you will be able to e-mail your questions and concerns to us so that we may answer these important issues. As well, we will post these on our bulletin board to ensure that all members are able to benefit.
Fierce competition within the homebuilding industry forces the builder to balance quality with cost. Due to the recent construction boom, underskilled trades and overworked code inspectors could lead to a disastrous combination during the construction of your new home. Over time, we found that even though most purchasers were excited about the prospect of building a new home, they were also realistic in expecting a challenging experience that would require a large financial and emotional commitment. However, the high level of confusion, frustration and disappointment was so consistently disproportionate that we were compelled to help by sharing some of the industry secrets with unsuspecting homeowners.
